Officially Licensed HMM-361 Ross' Rice Runners Patch

Officially Licensed HMM-361 Ross' Rice Runners Patch — USMC Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Vietnam Era Embroidered Patch

"Ross' Rice Runners" — a Vietnam-era identity that captures the gritty reality of helicopter resupply in the rice paddies.

HMM-361 "Flying Tigers" carried the "Ross' Rice Runners" identity during their Vietnam War deployments, where CH-46 and earlier helicopter crews flew resupply missions across the rice paddies, jungles, and mountain passes of I Corps. The nickname reflects both the geography of the operating area and the personality of the commanding officer or senior pilot whose name became synonymous with the mission. Vietnam-era unit nicknames like this were organic — born on the flightline, not in a headquarters conference room.

Perfect For:
HMM-361 Ross' Rice Runners Vietnam veterans, CH-46 and UH-34 Vietnam combat crews, Marine medium helicopter Vietnam-era collectors, and USMC Vietnam War history patch enthusiasts.
