Timber brings a softness to lighting that metal and glass can't quite match, and the Estera Wooden Table Lamp 50cm makes good use of it. The mango wood base carries a brushed grey paint finish, so you get the grain and character of real timber with a colour that sits comfortably alongside neutrals. Its 50cm height suits a sideboard, a hallway table or a bedside, filling those in-between spots that often end up bare. A cotton shade sits above, spreading the light evenly rather than concentrating it in one pool. Mango wood is a hardwood, which gives the base a reassuring weight when you pick it up. It takes one E27 globe.
