Weight matters more in a floor lamp than most people expect, which is where the marble base of the Azzedine Silver Floor Lamp 166cm earns its place. Stone keeps the whole piece planted, so it won't shift if someone brushes past on the way to the sofa. The metal upright carries a chrome plating in silver, a cooler tone that sits comfortably in rooms built around grey, white and navy. At 166cm it delivers light at standing height, which is useful for general room lighting rather than focused reading. It's also available in gold if the cooler finish isn't right. One E27 globe is needed.
